The Live preview site is the Arborwake page that anyone with the address can open. It is built automatically from the GitHub Placeholder branch, which currently ends at commit 82c3add0d. It is an incomplete alpha. The lead's own audit calls it "an incomplete integration of different development stages".
What it contains#
- The older overworld maps: Hearth H14, Glade G13, Memory Meadow L12, Mote Pocket M09, Starwell S11 and Quiet District D09.
- Current turn-based rooms: 17 Gardens, 15 Vessel and 15 Tracts rooms plus nine lessons, chosen from a catalogue picker at each gate.
- The approved run HUD, turn effects and action tendrils inside rooms.
- No 3D Threadway. The Glade, Starwell and Quiet District show "Threadway · under construction", and the Places dialog teleports between districts.
Known faults#
The lead's reconciliation audit (2 November, read-only, live page inspected in headless Edge) found these faults in the published build:
| Priority | Fault |
|---|---|
| Critical | The walk to Memory Meadow is refused: "Return to Hearth before starting practice." |
| Critical | Threadway is missing from the world, so the districts link only by teleport. |
| Critical | Coordinator and companion rules disagree; a free generic helper can appear. |
| Critical | Room clears do not drive Supply, quests or home consequences. |
| High | An old "Gardens expedition" web panel sits below the canvas. |
| High | Review circles and large floating "Gardens · E" labels are drawn over the maps. |
| High | All six Places captions sit on top of each other. |
| High | Fixture quests still grant three old passive Imprints. |
| Medium | Places and map data still say "Practice Grove". |
The audit confirmed that the live entry bundle is byte-identical to the local build of 82c3add0d, so these faults are in the shipped page, not a stale cache.
How it differs from the local integration#
The lead's reconciled integration, 69c7b5470, fixes the faults above. It adds the streamed 3D Threadway, the H15 and S13 maps, services v3, the story to II1 and a new save. That commit is not pushed, and the lead's report says: "The live Cloudflare site is unchanged; no push or public deployment occurred." See Arborwake alpha.
Development#
- Before 2 November: the
Placeholderbranch served a standalone overworld preview with six maps and no currency. - 2 November,
921507bf9: the lead's first alpha slice joined that overworld to turn-based rooms. The user authorised committing and pushing it toPlaceholder. - 2 November,
82c3add0d: the user reported that Cloudflare still showed the standalone preview. The lead changed the default build so the root page opens the alpha. The lead ran no manual deployment; the site follows the user's existing pipeline. The lead later wrote that it "published it without reconciling the other conversations first". - Release blockers still open: Threadway asset provenance, and Safari/iPad checks. Chromium touch emulation is not iPad certification.
